Another night

The aging wan crescent moon languished sullenly

the fervid stars tumbled out and twinkled merrily

the sky turned a deeper shade of velvety midnight blue

at the youthful shenanigans of the crystalline shards

the resentful reserve of the moon melted a bit

intoxicated verses dripped from my fingertips

as the bewitching night hugged me warmly.

  1. Another night of beautiful moon-inspired words. You have me every time with how you describe a moonlit night.

“the bewitching night hugged me warmly.”

I felt hugged by that night reading this. And now I’m inspired to write another moon poem myself.
Love it so much Punam ❤️❤️
