Direction

After travelling together for some time

They came to an intersection in their life

And wondered which direction to take

As they had divergent views about the path

She wanted a commitment from him

He felt this was the time to play

Not the right time to be tied down

Though it was heartbreaking for both of them

They decided it was best to part ways.

  1. Very good story. And what hurts the most is knowing right from the beginning it wasn’t going to work. Deep inside they knew the intersection would appear. I’ve been there, but sadly the other person couldn’t see the collision they were causing.

  2. We are sometimes on different paths and still try to hang on, just in case, even when we know there is no chance those paths will align. Beautifully said.
