Two weeks you stood on my table
ignored but not so completely
your scent made me miserable
though you did nod your heads sweetly.
I mussitate but unstable
I’m not. Am not angry with you
at glisk I kiddle your fair hue
but can’t forgive his caddish ways
the sleepless nights, the restless days
Dear blooms, my love for him was true!

Today’s optional prompt is to write a poem based on a word featured in a tweet from Haggard Hawks, an account devoted to obscure and interesting English words. I chose the following three.

Also written for Val’s scavenger hunt: Write a Decima poem or write a poem using the theme of roses.
Lovely 🙂

Punam, you really nailed this one! I love that the roses were an unpleasant reminder of a love lost… Excellent way to pull on the heart strings!

Val, I am so happy you like it! Yes, it is a bit melancholic but I didn’t know how else to incorporate roses!
Thanks so much. ❤️

Are you kiddling me? 😉
I love those words.
Today has brought enough glisks for me work on remembering the word. I want to keep it, store it safely, and use it whenever as glisk comes up. The word deserves a kiddle.

Hehe, Tracy! April and Oct prompts set something free in me. I go all out when writing for these prompts.
I like finesse and pizzazz very much, though I wouldn’t use those words to describe my style!
Thanks so much, Tracy! You know how to make my day. ❤️
