Life is words

Besotted, you watched intently
as words dripped tellingly from my
fingers

When I laced my fingers through yours
heart tattooed its favourite song
you’re mine

That summer of love drenched in rain
we traced dancing shadows lying
awake

The intricate latticework of
passion enfolded us in its
embrace

No dream did seem impossible
but then, life didn’t like our planning
ahead

Shattered shards I pick everyday
never knew broken dreams could hurt
so much

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

Pain assauged through each word written
therapeutic exercise I
employ

Each experience enriching
however broken; beautiful,
life is.

Written for dVerse. Today’s host, Grace, says:  write a Synchronicity poetry verse.

This poetry form is written in the first person revealing accidental yet seemingly synchronized events.

The definition of synchronicity is the state or fact of being synchronous or simultaneous; synchronism. Coincidence of events that seem to be meaningfully related.

As a poetry form, this consists of eight three-line stanzas in a syllable pattern of 8/8/2. This poetry type has no rhyme and is written in the first person with a twist. The twist is to be revealed within the last two stanzas. This form was created by Debra Gundy.

  1. Life is indeed both beautiful and painful, and to experience life fully, the enlightenment gained from both is what shapes us into who we are ..🌏💛💙

  2. Punam, I cherish every experience of life for the knowledge and insight it brings. This is an exquisite poem about the pleasures and pains of life. The last stanza beautifully expresses a philosophy that I have held all of my life. So meaningful! ❤ Have a great weekend!

  3. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it is, we can make positive choices. I am a minimalist photographer, and beauty for me is rust on an old car, only part of the whole.

Wow, Punam… Ya know, the stanza right before these sort of hints at these two!

  5. Beautiful, Punam ❤ I love the last two stanzas especially and this section really resonated with me:

    "No dream did seem impossible
but then, life didn’t like our planning
    ahead"

Funny how your present emotions can make you glimpse different futures. And when it's not the best emotion, you just have to get back up and carry on, and that's a win in itself, isn't it? Thanks for sharing ❤
