Day 11
Prompt: Horses
Form: Limerick
In truth, I know nothing about horse-riding or horses
Except from what I gleaned from the novels of Dick Francis*
But attempt I must something
Thus respond to the prompt, writing
of my love for the author, his bestselling books, I unabashedly endorse!
Limericks are tricky, I love how you pulled the author into it. I never heard of Dick Francis, an author to add to the list. I’ve always enjoyed a good mystery.

They sure are tricky! I have seen horses from afar but I don’t know much about them. At the same time didn’t want to not respond. So I pulled in an author who wrote about horses! Lol
I really enjoyed his novels. If you enjoy good mysteries you must try him.
Thanks a lot, Heather.

Of course you can write a limerick about horses! I never read any of Dick Francis novels, but thanks for the recommendation ❤️

I was in college when I read him and really enjoyed his style and the world of horse racing.
Thanks for the validation. ❤️😄

a new author to me … my favourite ‘horse’ poem has to be ‘the man from snowy river’ this captures the beat of a galloping horse!

I have some favourite horse movies but to write a poem!!
So I did what I could think of! Lol

I don’t know much about horses, either. But I know of my love of them……and of all animals!
That took me towards volunteering for a stable that aids ex-race-horses from being put to sleep – and what a wonderful experience that was.

What an experience it must have been! Lucky you.
