End of Summer Scavenger Hunt (2)

Val of A Different Perspective is running the End of Summer Scavenger Hunt, where we have to write 13 poems in August in the prescribed form on the given topics.

I have already posted the first three, here are the next three.

4. Hay(na)ku on Hate

The
flip side
of my love

5. Naani on Time

What is it
where is it
is it ephemeral, is it eternal
it stops for no one, marching relentlessly

6. Oddquain on Poverty

To
live without
food, shelter, clothing
abased existence worse than
death

  1. Such immersing, strong images you evoke here in these pieces, Punam. I especially enjoyed the poem on love and hate—that was brilliant and I feel it depicts potentially a toxicity in a relationship, how love can turn to hate easily or through manipulation, but that’s just my interpretation.

Beautifully and evocatively written, your work is amazing. ❤️❤️❤️

      1. I have no doubt you will will at the least match me and more probably outdo me … they are fun! I’m collecting some other unusual formats to set a challenge with more positive words to address. Mind you I loved doing the death one, it might be my best 🙂
