Day 22 OctPoWriMo
Prompt: Inspiration
Form: Acrostic
In shadows she lies today, curled like a tendril of fern
Nebulous, not affected by my predicament
Slinking sullenly to silence
Prevaricating when I need her the most, so
I carry on my own
Relying on my vivid imagination
Alleviate I will, this situation
Turning drab grey ideas to blue sparkling ones
Inking my lacklustre thoughts in fancy parlance
Obduracy, my hallmark
Never giving up, my motto!
Beautiful piece Punam. Great finale.
“Inking my lacklustre thoughts in fancy parlance
Obduracy, my hallmark
Never giving up, my motto!”

Punam, This is a lovely poem! ❤ I liked the first line comparing inspiration to a curled fern.
I once dug up a fern in the woods and brought it into my kitchen. It died, and I forgot about it until one day, I saw several fiddleheads poking up out of the dry soil…Such a strong life force! Such is your determination to press on writing although the muse seems to have deserted. I admire that, although it doesn't usually work for me. 🙂
All the best! Cheryl
