Inspiration

Day 22 OctPoWriMo

Prompt: Inspiration

Form: Acrostic

In shadows she lies today, curled like a tendril of fern

Nebulous, not affected by my predicament

Slinking sullenly to silence

Prevaricating when I need her the most, so

I carry on my own

Relying on my vivid imagination

Alleviate I will, this situation

Turning drab grey ideas to blue sparkling ones

Inking my lacklustre thoughts in fancy parlance

Obduracy, my hallmark

Never giving up, my motto!

  2. Punam, This is a lovely poem! ❀ I liked the first line comparing inspiration to a curled fern.

I once dug up a fern in the woods and brought it into my kitchen. It died, and I forgot about it until one day, I saw several fiddleheads poking up out of the dry soil…Such a strong life force! Such is your determination to press on writing although the muse seems to have deserted. I admire that, although it doesn't usually work for me. πŸ™‚

    All the best! Cheryl
