Transition

Dithering on the edge tomorrow

fickle today wants to linger

unwilling to surrender

it stretches into the night

wrapping with intimacy the darkness tightly

wearing coyly the shimmering veil of stars

reluctant to leave the embrace of the moon

as it doses off dreamily

the rosy hues of the blushing sun

appear dancing across the horizon

quickly turning tomorrow to today.

wearing coyly the shimmering veil of stars”
