Lament

For today’s prompt (optional, as always), I’d like to challenge you to write a triolet. These eight-line poems involve repeating lines and a tight rhyme scheme.

I embrace life tenderly as the world passes by
My heart laments why people fret and worry
Hush! I tell my silly heart not to cry
I embrace life tenderly as the world passes by
The truth is that the end is not yet nigh
Imposters, slow down, do not rush and hurry
I embrace life tenderly as the world passes by
My heart laments why people fret and worry.

(I am sorry but net problems and domestic chores have kept me busy. I will be responding to comments from day before and yesterday as soon as I can.)

  1. I LOVE the repeated lines so much ❤ And I wish I could infuse faith and hope into those who are fretting and worrying far too much…
