Musings at dusk

As gregarious clouds rush to meet each other

sun and moon switch sides

painting the sky in fuchsia shade

stars play truant refusing to be obedient pupils

I stand under the eaves all alone

divergent thoughts rushing through my mind

colliding and crashing, creating cacophony

of prickly cactus like contemplation

which pierce my susceptible heart

reason fleeing to saner climes

with a sigh I turn to go inside,

knowing too well

I won’t enjoy my own company this evening.

  1. Your description of dusk is exquisite @sun and moon switch sides
painting the sky in fuchsia shade”

But as well as such beauty, her mind is tumultuous, troubled. Perhaps the switching sides of the moon and the sun, and the delinquent stars represent this, stirring her thoughts. ❀️❀️
