Raindrops

I watch the fat raindrops fall

gently they sit there bubble like

on a pool of water

their ephemeral irridescence mesmerising

and then they are gone

as I sit ensconced inside

the warmth of my abode

the transience of raindrops

a case of learning for me;

to shine in the limited time I have.

  1. This is just beautiful, Punam. There is something about raindrops that draws us in and they are, indeed, a great representation of the brevity of life. We should all live like raindrops.

      1. I used your “fat raindrops” in a poem I’ve just written, I’ll post It in the morning ..
        “Fat rain drops have forgotten their landing spots”

      1. I was just reading previous comments and saw I commented previously, back in March!! This makes me so happy to know I’ve been reading your poetry for this long. I had written:
        “This style of besutuful writing with a beautiful profound message feels like your signature to me. You seem to do it effortlessly.”

        I stand by that all these months later! ❤️❤️
