Clouds agitate in the sky

it is the edge of summer

and their ominous rumbling

is a gesture to monsoon

to take centre stage

sun takes a backseat

as nature pulls the plug.

  1. Punam! I feel the atmospheric pressure in your words, willing those rains to come, your entire poem gesturing to them. I can only imagine the drenching feeling of the monsoon, the entire earth giving way to it. The release of some electrical charge that has been mounting. I can’t wait to read what you write once those rains start ❤️❤️

    1. Thanks a lot, dear. The rains are already here, Rachel. It was a late and slow start and though we have still not had a good thoroughly drenching rainy day here, we have had sufficient rains. I will surely share more on rains. ❤️❤️
