The kingpins of negativity
jeopardize relations between I and me
On their nightly sojourn
reasoning, they routinely bludgeon
The strain between us is so palpable
I accuses me of deeds horrible
Anxiously wait I for the daybreak
when negativity slinks away like a rattlesnake
But darkness is rewinding time
for fears to hold me prisoner at nighttime.
