What matters

In trying to live the questions

I hesitate as I pick words

that are scattered all around

glittering ones as well as the subfusc ones

but there is no need for fanfare or flair

nor chutzpah or sauciness

caught in a spray of ideas

I dither and flounder

eventually picking only those

that make me feel alive

for in the end, that is what matters.

    1. I often wonder what am I doing here when I see immensely talented people around me and then I tell myself, however better equipped they might be, they can’t tell my stories! 😂
Thus I write. Thank you so much, Rachel. ❤️❤️

      1. Sometimes it feels words and poetry is just escapism, and then I read these posts that make me feel that such escapism may not be such a bad idea
