Her heart an impenetrable vault
stockaded against any intrusion
too many setbacks had left her battered
tired, disappointed and disillusioned
moonbeams could not lift her spirit
nor the faraway stars offer any hope
no blossom brought a smile on her face
sadness, her life’s recurring trope
black and grey her favourite colours
no splash of other hue to brighten her days
disinterested and no longer curious
she needed to snap out of this malaise.
Wow. Clever Lunam. A beautiful poem

Goth is a look that features people wearing conspicuously dark, mysterious, antiquated clothing and having homogeneous features.

It’s what happens when the heart has undergone a series of battles. Love the way you’ve written this and, as usual, wonderful use of the prompts.

Thank you so much, Inky. Yes, it does happen, for the heart can only bear so much pain and no more.

most of her time spent in what’s wrong, she feels the need to but too tired to snap out.

I’ve seen this person in the mirror. You’ve expressed this season in life (hopefully only a season) so well!

She was in my mirror too, Irma, but that was long ago. You are right, this should be only a season in life, a season that never comes back. Thanks for reading. ❤️

Your delightfully descriptive poem was a masterful painting with words!!! Bellissimo, My Dear, Bellissimo!! Now you need to do the sequel where she “Snaps Out Of It”!!! Please?????

Ah yes, that difficult place that seems impossible to surmount, ‘she’ sure does need a change. Great lines Punam.
