Today, we’d like to challenge you to write a poem that incorporates homophones, homographs, and homhonyms, or otherwise makes productive use of English’s ridiculously complex spelling rules and opportunities for mis-hearings and mis-readings.
English idiots, any won!
It is time for some
in this stunt updates on English idiots
as you sow, so shall you rip
and an aye for an aye is a good policy
but robbing people the wrong whey
is a fact of cow and lice
remember an app a day
will save a doc away
a pen is lighter than a soda
a dog maybe a man’s rest fiend
but always let weeping dogs lie.
