Hope

The night is sleepless

and the morn still asleep

the moon disinterested

and the sun reluctantly hides

the heart is wary

and the soul weary and tired

but…

the night did sleep

yesterday

and the morn did arrive

the moon shone prettily

and the sun did rise

the heart did love

and the soul did thrive

the past holds

the key to future

there’s always hope.

  1. Beautiful flow and you know how much of a fan I am of personification (which you have used perfectly). I also enjoy the juxtaposition between first and second half. I absolutely love… ❤
