I am consistently amazed at how you fold simple words into these meaning-laden masterpieces. They remind me of proverbs, or timeless stories told again and again because of their simple truth and powerful messages.
Here we believe that some physical wounds, however old, do ache during the rainy season. I guess it’s the same with emotional wounds…anything can trigger the ache.
i did not know that, though her its the arthritis and bony aches that will throb just before the rain but never heard about the same to physical wounds. thunder evokes some deep emotions for me, so i was wondering about its significance to you.
This one speaks to me on so many levels! Physical scars and emotional scars…despite being healed the reminder is still there and every so often, the pain of how the scar came to be is felt. Beautiful!

Yes, arthritis and bony aches too! Thunder always signifies impending danger…real or imagined.

For me the association of thunderstorms with danger goes back to childhood…still have not been able to outgrow that! Lol

I relate to this on many levels. Once we’ve been wounded in some way, those scars will always be there to remind us. Excellent!!
