Sneak attack

Dear Mr. Ex,

What a horrid surprise!

Sending a letter to my fiance

Listing all my faults!

(By the way your spellings

My sensibilities did assault!)

Yes, we did read it together

And had a good laugh

This was believe me

Your most egregious gaffe!

If I remember correctly

You called it quits

Because you had bigger dreams

That in our small town couldn’t fit

It was an amicable parting

No animosity or enmity at all

Now calling me names

You really have the gall!

So what do you want to accomplish

I truly can’t fathom

But let me tell you, inadvertently,

Our love you have strengthened

You, who through out our affair

Never sent me a billet doux

Now writing to spite me

You’ve proven yourself a fool!

  1. Ha, if they are gonna send a letter, at least make it grammatically correct. There’s nothing worse than poor writing. lol This is so spot on – an attempt and foiling love only strengthened it.
