Catch me when I fall

I think I can shout and state

I have a wide and strong safety net

Which allows me to falter

Without breaking into a sweat.

I court disasters with impunity

Fall into all sorts of troubles

There is always a loved one

To kiss my grazed knuckles.

Life loves to serve hard knocks

With unerring regularity

I get knocked down sometimes

But am put back with alacrity.

Friends, family and loved ones

Always have my back

If one is not available

The other one saves me from flak.

I could go on and on about it

But my superstitious self says

Don’t attract the evil eye

By making public such claims.

  1. I love the last four lines! Don’t jinx it, right… It’s a wonderful terzanelle, and you’ve handled the flow so nicely!
