When you lose your temper with me
for misplacing papers or keys
I know that you are worried
the future does give you a scare
I know then, you love me.
When you come home weary and tired
but are ready to go get groceries
with nary a frown ever
just so we could spend some us time
I do know you love me.
When you call long distance
and talk about people
you scarce care about
just to hear my voice
I just know you love me.
When we have shouting matches
and ugly ego clashes
I know you are afraid inside
of losing me one day
And I know you love me.
When you stay away from us
so that our future is secure
and the kids’ needs are taken care of
when we won’t be around
I so know you love me.
When you wrap your arms around me
in the morning when we wake up
when I am not looking my best
And utter just one word, ‘tea’!
I sure as hell know that you love only me!
This truly speaks for itself. These are the things which contain true love. Beautiful.

This is really sweet Punam. I wish I had love like that. I love the ordinary in this poem. It is how life is, isn’t it

The ordinary comes out extraordinarily speaking about something extraordinary.. loved your mundane life, living the love, you love, thus making it out of the worldly… A round of applause for you and your words.. love love ‘shona’.. 😜👏🏼😁👍🏼😍😊👒👌🏼

i love the love and love the poem, nothing I don’t love about the feeling it has given me and I know why he loves you because you are absolutely adorable. I also love this feisty woman I read between the lines. It is the love you give him unconditionally that enlarges his love for you and the family
