The redolent air fills my senses
Sharpens my longing
For the bygone days
The past beckons
With beguiling memories
If only, stepping back was easy!
I stand hesitating
The future looks daunting
But has to be met
My fears, I know, are baseless
Without any substance
Yet have the power to arrest me
It is a leap of faith that I have to take
So I shut the door behind me firmly
And move ahead.
good poetry on overcoming fears, go on meet them at the door and head on!

This is so lovely, Punam…so true that bygone times beckon; a friend and I were talking about how much simpler it was when there was no cable TV–just 3 channels, no cost, and they all went off by midnight! And maybe cell/mobile phones are convenient, but they seem to steal a lot of time and intimacy (just my opinion) 🙂

Thank you so much! Yes, technology has come at a cost. We have friends from around the globe but we have alienated those in close proximity.

Yes yes yes–we must be strong, take courage, and if not “leap”…then, tiptoe across the threshold 🙂
