Restless

Your arms are my refuge,

World weary I come to you.

Your words are my balm,

Soothing with their melody.

Your eyes are twin beacons,

They always guide me home.

There is nothing more bewitching,

Than your presence in my life.

Yet, there are times,

When the urge, the yearning

Makes me restless and looking for expression.

When I feel the need to explore

And just be on my own.

I am sorry but I am bitten by wanderlust

I hate to leave you but have to bid adieu.

  1. Sounds like me, most of the time. I can really relate to this. Love how you’ve captured the essence of wanderlust and that need for personal expression and exploration.

      1. Your poetry resonates all the time. I could spend hours reading your work, if I had hours to do so. You are always welcome!

    1. Thank you so much Chuck. Your words of encouragement mean a lot.
Don’t you think some things should be left unsaid so that everyone can come to their own conclusions?😊
