The other day was looking at anti ageing cream ad
Wondered if it would bring back the glow!
Will it really make me look younger
Or would it just be another no show!
And then I thought of my mom and her generation
They never vied to fight their age
Wise and engrossed with the nitty gritty of household
They wore their greys and wrinkles with grace.
We may look younger cos of cosmetics at disposal
But the creaking joints are a harsh reminder
That this body is no longer what it used to be
Youthful we may look, we ain’t getting any younger!
So forget this fight with flab, greys, wrinkles and the like
Be active, laugh a lot, eat and live
And remember what ever your age might be
Old age is still at a distance, do not crib.
What matters a lot in this write is the writer’s wisdom!! I have a similar one with the title: “Am I immune to beauty?”.

I feel very sorry for women
With all of these creams and these sprays
I’m happy to let my skin wrinkle
And have half my head full of greys!

Haha! So do I Robbie dear
I too have greys and under-eye bags
But while men are compared to George Clooney
Women, if they do so, are called hags!! π±π±

You are so true..women of our generation are so worried about showing their age.
I always believe in saying that age is just a number. You are what you feel.

We spend far too much of our precious time on this Earth, worrying about things we can’t control. And, you said it right, old age is not a crib, it really is part of a journey that we should embrace. Here’s to aging with grace and poise! β€
